Wood Ducks
A wood duck nest box stands by a sediment pond in the woods. The Conservation Team monitors the box with binoculars. In the spring of 2010, a wood duck successfully nested in the box, and seven ducklings hatched. Because of this success, the team plans to place another box at a different pond. Other conservation projects completed to date include construction of a nature trail and the development a non-native invasive species management plan.
